BANGKOK--Despite conceding the first set, Bangkok Glass proved to be too much for the PSL All-Stars in the first game of their respective Thai-Denmark Super League campaign with a 23-25, 25-11, 25-16, 25-9 victory on Wednesday.
The PSL All-Stars, formed around the core of Petron and the marquee players of the other clubs, took the opening frame as Rachel Anne Daquis showcased her spiking prowess early on.
But Bangkok Glass, behind national team standout Pleumjit Thinkaow and American reinforcement Jordanne Scott, dominated the second set behind their own attacks.
The PSL All-Stars tried to put up a fight again in the third set only to lose steam in the end, and Bangkok Glass called it a match with a fourth set mauling.
Scott finished with 22 points on 18 spikes and four blocks, while Thinkaow added 13 for Bangkok Glass, a known multi-sport club in Thailand.
Daquis led the PSL All-Stars with nine markers on seven attacks and two blocks.
