QUEZON CITY--Mahindra banked on the late hot shooting of Aldrech Ramos to stun Alaska, 102-94, in a rare Monday night PBA Commissioner's Cup match-up at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
With the Enforcers leading the Aces by just two midway into the fourth quarter, Ramos sparked a crucial 9-0 run while burying back-to-back clutch triples to put the game out of reach.
Ramos finished with 25 points on 11-of-15 shooting with seven rebounds and one assist off the bench for Mahindra, which snapped its three-game losing streak.
Augustus Gilchrist flirted with a triple-double by adding 16 points, 15 rebounds, and seven assists along with two blocks and two steals.
Shane Edwards tallied 24 markers, 13 boards, three dimes, one swat, and one swipe for Alaska, which lost back-to-back matches after mounting a five-game winning streak.
