MANILA--Chris Ross showed that his epic performance in Game 7 of the PBA Philippine Cup finals was no fluke.

The Beerman made a repeat of his impressive showing in the historic title clincher against the Alaska Aces by pouring in 14 points, six rebounds, and 12 assists in a Commissioner's Cup match on Friday night, helping his team pull off a 116-96 win.

“I feel like I have the easiest job in the PBA because I have so many weapons and we were clicking on all cylinders [against Alaska]," Ross said.

Ross' second straight fine game against Alaska gave him the PBA Press Corps Player of the Week award on Monday.

Ross, who won the said weekly plum for the first time in his career, got the nod over last week's holder, Allein Maliksi, Alex Cabagnot, L.A. Tenorio, Greg Slaughter, Baser Amer, and Jeff Chan.
