PASAY--Star banked on a strong third quarter showing to repulse Phoenix, 91-75, in a PBA Commissioner's Cup match at the Cuneta Astrodome on Saturday.
The Hotshots outscored the Fuel Masters, 28-10, in the said period to blow the game wide open and hand Coach Jason Webb his first career winning streak.
Ricardo Ratliffe led Star, which posted its first string of wins this season, with 21 points, 17 rebounds, one assist, and one block, while Mark Barroca flirted with a triple-double by tallying eight points, seven rebounds, and eight assists along with a block and a steal.
Kevin Pinkney needed 23 shots before making 21 points for Phoenix, which slipped provisionally to the bottom of the standings at 2-4.
