MANILA--Despite falling short in the Red Bull King of the Rock tournament, SWU star Mark Tallo expressed happiness that he is a Cebu representative to the 1-on-1 tournament.

Tallo made it to the quarterfinal round of the KOTR at the Baluarte De Dilao open field on Saturday night only to be eliminated by a Willie Miller who seemed like he is still in his prime despite his old age.

For the graduating Cobra, taking on the PBA legend is a privilege.

"Sobrang gandang experience na nakalaban ko si Willie Miller, kasi I like some of his moves, gaya noong spin moves niya," Tallo told Dugout Philippines.

He also looked at his loss positively knowing that there is still more to learn before venturing to the pros.

"Kailangan ko lang mag-practice sa mga ginawa niya sa akin," continued the former Jr. NBA All-Star, CESAFI MVP, and PCCL Mythical Team member.

But while he is open to having a personal training with Miller, the former La Salle commit, who later opted to go back to Cebu to join SWU, sets his sights at the next PBA D-League season.

"Derecho na muna ako sa D-League, kasi kung self-training lang, kulang," Tallo said in particular.

On the other hand, he looks forward to reclaiming the CESAFI title the Cobras relinquished to the USC Warriors this year before he takes his final bow.

"Kailangan talaga [naming mag-champion] kasi last year ko na. Isa pa, last year was our worst, so kailangan naming mag-comeback," Tallo vowed.

However, he finds SWU as an underdog for the tournament.

"Almost lahat kami rookies. Mga 12," Tallo reasoned while ruling out a possible participation in the FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup.
