YANGON--Adriano Moraes did not show any hint of rust despite a long layoff from MMA competition after scoring a submission win over Eugene Toquero at One: Union of Warriors at the Thuwunna Stadium on Friday night.
Moraes caught Toquero with a flying knee that sent the latter down the canvas and later went on a D'Arce choke to take the win with just seven seconds left in Round 1.
Robin Catalan also dropped his own match in the said fight card as Alex Silva bucked Catalan's striking prowess and force an arm triangle choke that forced him to tap out also deep into the opening five minutes.
Edward Kelly averted a shutout for the Filipinos after submitting Jordan Lucas via rear naked choke also in the first round.
In the main event, hometown hero Aung La N Sang scored a submission win via guillotine choke against Mohamed Ali.
