PASAY--San Beda-A swept the best-of-three I3I finals against San Beda-C on Sunday at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall.
The veteran-laden San Beda-A engaged in a close encounter with the younger Red Lions of San Beda-C in the series opener before hacking out an 11-9 win.
In the rematch, team captain Dan Sara waxed hot early on with five straight points before transfer player Robert Bolick buried deuces to even as far as beyond the NBA line to help San Beda-A maul San Beda-C in the clincher, 22-8.
Sara, Bolick, Donald Tankoua, and Davon Potts took home PHP100 thousand for being the first champions of the inter-collegiate 3-on-3 tournament organized by Rack Sports led by Kiefer Ravena.
On the other hand, San Beda-C, composed of Jeramer Cabanag, Joe Presbitero, Arnott Noah, and Raniel Navarro, received PHP50 thousand for the second place finish.
With two of its three teams making the championship round, San Beda got a total of PHP150 thousand.
In the third place game, FEU-A trounced UE-A, 21-14, for PHP25 thousand for the team and PHP25 thousand more for the university.
