SAN JUAN CITY -- The Ateneo Lady Eagles made quick work against the FEU Lady Tamarraws in quick straight sets fashion, 25-17, 25-10, 25-21, to continue their winning ways at the San Juan Arena late Sunday afternoon.

The win was a good way for Ateneo to get back on track as they won their second consecutive match to go at 8-2 and the pole position in the standings.
FEU fell to .500 with a even 5-5 card and is now tied with NU for that final postseason spot.

After exposing their defense problems in their losses, the two-time defending champions displayed superb digging and receiving prowess in the match anchored by Gizelle Tan’s impressive performance.

The converted libero also received significant contribution of Jia Morado and Jho Maraguinot two prevent balls from dying on the Lady Eagle’s side of the court.

The Loyola squad’s services were also on-point as the team managed to tally significant points from the service line and made it difficult for the Lady Tamaraws to set up plays due to their reception problems.

Alyssa Valdez was in her usual scoring self as she peppered the Lady Tamaraws with a team-high 20 points after the game.

Due to the lackluster performance of his team, Coach Shaq Delos Santos made the team sort their game problems by themselves during the timeouts.
