QUEZON CITY--Tyler Wilkerson and Marcio Lassiter found themselves getting hot from beyond the arc as San Miguel put to an end to Star's three-game winning run with a 117-98 blowout in the main game of the PBA Commissioner's Cup's Easter Sunday offering at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Wilkerson and Lassiter combined for 14 of the Beermen's 15 total triples as they helped their team pull away for good from the Hotshots in the second half.
Wilkerson finished with 44 points, 17 rebounds, two assists, one block, and one steal, while Lassiter added 25 points, one rebounds, two assists, and three steals for San Miguel, which played minus Arwind Santos, who was given the day off as he grieves for his mother's death, and Junemar Fajardo, who is recovering from an injury.
Alex Cabagnot, the lone other Beerman with a made three-pointer in the match, chipped in 13 points, four rebounds, two assists, one steal off the bench.
Chris Ross once again flirted with a triple-double after contributing 11 points, ten assists, and nine rebounds along with two steals.
Ricardo Ratliffe fired 33 points while making 21 rebounds, three assists, and one block for Star, which slipped back to the subpar .500 level with the loss.
