MAKATI—In an unprecedented moment in Philippine e-sports, the ESL One tournament on April 23-24 will be nationally televised.
As announced by Digital 5 head Chot Reyes during the press launch of the DOTA 2 tournament at the Museum Cafe on Thursday, Sports 5, the sporting arm of TV5, will broadcast the online gaming event at the Mall of Asia Arena in its entirety.
Aksyon TV will air all the games live with the finals on the evening of Day 2 being simulcast on TV5.
The former Gilas Pilipinas coach even posed a challenge to the Philippine representative Mineski, which he called "E-Gilas" in the presser.
"Galingan niyo para may iko-cover kami sa finals," Reyes told the club.
