MANILA--Mineski stumbled in its first outing in the ESL One tournament after ending at the wrong side of a 2-0 sweep by Liquid on Friday.
Liquid, one of the three directly invited teams for the tournament, made two quick works of the Philippine qualifying tournament winners to get the shutout of their best-of-three preliminary clash.
Liquid will await the winner of the series pitting American qualifier Complexity and Chinese qualifier Wings, which is still ongoing as of posting, in the upper bracket finals, where one outright semifinal seat is at stake.
Mineski, on the other hand, slipped to the lower bracket where they will face the losing side of the Complexity-Wings series in an elimination series on Saturday,
