PASIG--It is not anymore a mystery that Star and Gilas big man Marc Pingris is a proud DOTA 2 player.
With ESL One, the first of two big international DOTA 2 tournaments happening in the Philippines, set to take place soon, Pingris is bullish about it.
"Magandang laban yan," he revealed his outlook on the tournament to Dugout Philippines after the Gilas practice at the Meralco Gym on Monday night.
He even shared what it takes to win either a simple game of DOTA or the US$250 thousand ESL One prize pot.
"Pagalingan ng teamwork yan. Teamwork ang nagdadala sa DOTA, kasi noong naglalaro kami nina Junemar [Fajardo], pag pangit ang teamwork namin, natatalo kami, pero pag maganda ang teamwork namin, nananalo kami. Basta kailangan, teamwork talaga," Pingris bared.
On whether he will show up on April 23-24 at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pingris, whose club faces Mahindra in a win-or-go-home showdown on Wednesday for the last PBA Commissioner's Cup quarterfinals seat, answered, "Pag walang laro, go ako."
