QUEZON CITY--San Sebastian romped a battle-weary La Salle Greenhills squad, 78-58, in their PhilHealth-City Hoops Preseason Cup U15 match at the AFP Wellness Center on Sunday.
The Staglets, who had a five-day layoff from their tournament-opening victory against the Marist Golden Bears, proved they got a good rest by opening the game on an 8-0 run against the Greenies, who had to go down the wire before beating Ateneo Blue on Saturday night, en route to a 45-19 halftime lead.
LSGH appeared to have rejuvenated in the second half, drawing to within as close as 13, but San Sebastian weathered the storm and held on to the win.
Allen Dela Cruz fired 17 points for the Staglets, who now wrest the solo lead in the U15 Division.
