MANILA--A blog dedicated to Philippine sports law was launched Thursday last week.
Batas Sportiva was launched last May 12 by the 2013 Bar Topnotcher Atty. Mickey Ingles, who is also the Editor-in-Chief of the site.

Atty. Ingles wrote the first post on the site a week before the launch, summarizing the importance of RA 10676 or Student-Athlete Protection Act to the student-athletes in all sports.
Apart from the former three-peat winner in UAAP football for Ateneo, who was currently taking his Masters of Law at Georgetown, their editorial team is also comprised by JD Garcia and Pancho Galman, sports afficionados who were also lawyers.
Batas Sportiva was a first of its kind in the field of sports law as they "offer educational posts and general opinions on Philippine sports law issues".
