MANILA--Cafe France-CEU's bid for a second consecutive PBA D-League Foundation Cup championship will start right on the very first game of the season-ending conference.
The Bakers clash with the Mindanao Aguilas in the curtain-raiser of Day 1 of the tournament at 2 p.m. of June 2 at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
The other game in the doubleheader pits Tanduay and AMA at 4 p.m.
Meanwhile, reigning Aspirants Cup champs Phoenix-FEU will begin their quest for a grand slam as they face Tanduay on June 7 at 4 p.m. at the JCSGO Gym in Quezon City, right after the 2 p.m. match between AMA and the former Caida club which reverted to their original name Racal.
Blustar, which features the reigning ABL champions Malaysia Dragons, debuts on June 13 against Tanduay at the said Quezon City venue at 4 p.m. following the AMA-Phoenix-FEU match at 2 p.m.
The Dragons will actually play back-to-back games in their Philippine club basketball debut as they next face the Bakers on June 14 at 4 p.m. also at the JCSGO Gym.
The Foundation Cup eliminations will run until August 9 with the playoffs, which will once again be played on an accelerated schedule basis, beginning afterward.
