IMUS--Niño Eday made a stunner in the Vermosa Bike Night Carnival Pump Track contest after beating two British riders and won the said event on Saturday night.
The Antipolo-based rider clocked in at 51.5 seconds in the finals, beating Josh Lewis, who finished second with exactly 52 seconds, and Sam Flannigan for the right to represent the Philippines for the Red Bull Dark Knights in Singapore. Jerrich Farr took the other podium spot after finishing third.
"I feel pressured kasi mga foreigners ang kalaban, but I feel happy na nanalo ako," Eday told Dugout Philippines after the event.
In the races that took place before the time trial main event, Cloud Fernandez won the Toddy Kids Race, Melissa Jaroda finished first in the XCC women's race, and Alvin Benosa ruled the XCC men's race.
The Vermosa Bike Night Carnival was the launching event of the new Vermosa Bike Skills Park, a new mountain biking race track situated along the Vermosa estate.
