MUNTINLUPA--Ganon Baker is known to be a basketball skills coach to the stars, and he relayed to a group of sportswriters what it's like to be training the likes of Kobe Bryant and LeBron James among other big names in the NBA.

"I was nervous 'coz we watch these guys on TV. They're best at what they do. They're bar none," the well known mentor said in a pocket press conference for the Ganon Baker Basketball Camp Manila at the Vivere Hotel on Sunday about his reaction when he met the NBA superstars for the first time.

He then recalled one moment when he had to work on LeBron's post game.

"I jammed my finger on LeBron's back. I thought I broke my finger," Baker described that instance, putting emphasis on the Cleveland Cavaliers star's strength.

Despite getting starstruck with the fact that he is training big-time cagers, Baker always remembers the purpose of the said training.

"You're in awe of how great they are, but then you realize I got some [plays] that they don't know. They hire me for a reason. One of my jobs as a coach is to get them out of their comfort zone, 'coz you can't be great and be comfortable. To be great means you gotta go through training. I'm good at helping people realize what they can do and get their strengths to another level," the gaffer further said.

On being the preferred trainer of NBA stars, Baker said, "It's the best job in the world, 'coz you're working with the best of the best. When you work with the best, you bring out your best. I love what I do."

Baker will impart the same knowledge he gave to the growing list of NBA players training with him to young ballers at the Ganon Baker Basketball Camp Manila, which will run from Monday to Friday at the Ronac Gym in San Juan City.
