SAN JUAN, MM--Ben Mbala outperformed reigning NCAA MVP Allwell Oraeme in their much-anticipated showdown in the paint as La Salle downed Mapua, 93-76, in the FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup at the FilOil Flying V Centre on Thursday night.
Mbala went for a 20-20 with 29 points and 22 rebounds along with two blocks and two steals while limiting Oraeme to only eight points and seven rebounds, but the Green Archers needed a huge fourth quarter to put away the Cardinals to remain unbeaten after three games.
Andrew Estrella led the Cards with 17 points, one rebound, one assist, one steal, and one block.
