SAN JUAN, MM--NU clobbered FEU, 75-59, in a battle between the last two UAAP champions in the final game of a seniors triple-header in the FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup at the FilOil Flying V Centre on Saturday night.
The Bulldogs immediately opened a double-digit lead after the get-go and never let the Tamaraws put up a fight in the first three quarters en route to taking their third victory of the tournament after four games.
Rookies JV Gallego and Chino Mosqueda led the way for NU as they made 15 and 13 points respectively.
Steve Holmqvist made 13 points, five rebounds, and two steals for FEU, which only shot 29 percent from the floor.
Prince Orizu, who is usually steady inside the paint for the Tams, was only limited to only a single point although he got nine boards and one block.
