SAN JUAN, MM--San Beda bounced back from losing their FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup final rematch with La Salle by bludgeoning a depleted Mapua roster, 106-80, at the FilOil Flying V Centre on Thursday.
The Red Lions pulled away for good from the Cardinals, who enlisted only ten men for the match, in the third quarter, outscoring them, 28-15, to open a comfortable 25-point cushion.
Robert Bolick fired a perfect 4-of-4 field goals and 5-of-5 free throws for 15 points with one rebounds, one assist, and one steal in a zero-turnover showing for San Beda.
Almel Orquina led the way for Mapua with 26 points but made only 7-of-24 field goals including 4-of-16 triples.
Allwell Oraeme was expected to suit up for the Cardinals after serving his one-game suspension but did not play due to sickness.
