SAN JUAN, MM--San Beda started their FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup campaign on a high note, walloping UE, 94-72, at the FilOil Flying V Centre on Thursday.
After engaging in a close first quarter, the Red Lions outscored the Red Warriors, 31-12, in the second quarter to pull away and never looked back.
AC Soberano tallied 19 points on five triples with two rebounds, two assists, and one steal for San Beda, which came from an overseas training camp.
Paul Varilla made 11 points for UE, which slipped to 2-2.
