MANILA--Pro wrestling fans will be in for a huge treat as the WWE announced that they will hold a house show on Sept. 9 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.
Dubbed as WWE Live Manila, fans will get to see reigning WWE champion Roman Reigns, current storyline rival AJ Styles, reigning tag team champions New Day, women's champion Charlotte, and rising star Kevin Owens among other wrestlers set to appear on the said show.
Tickets for the said event will be on sale beginning June 3.
The WWE last staged a house show in the Philippines on July 10, 2009 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, where former wrestler and now MMA practitioner Phil "CM Punk" Brooks won in a title match that time.
The very first staging of the WWE event in the Philippines, also at The Big Dome, on Feb. 24, 2006 was highlighted by the appearance of John Cena, while the next Philippine WWE event, which came a few months later, turned out to be a homecoming for Fil-Am wrestler Dave "Batista" Bautista.
