Clinical Loyola jolts Archers to further complicate logjam

MANILA-- Loyola jolted misfiring Green Archers United to the ground, notching a clinical 4-0 win in the pre-Independence Day fixture earlier in the afternoon at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

The Sparks turned on the heat in the second half, with goals by James Younghusband, Joaco and substitute Jinggoy Valmayor to force a four-way tie with Kaya, Ceres and Voltes with nine points each but fell at the tail end of it due to their inferior goal difference.

GAU were dealt with the first loss of the season so badly, as they had been caught offside nine times the entire match and made even worse with the own goal of Ronnie Aguisanda to open the match.

Archers are stuck at sixth with seven points, as they lost against their bitter rivals for the fourth time in all competitions dating back last season.
