MANILA--For the first time since retiring from the NBA, former Los Angeles Laker Kobe Bryant is set to make a two-day visit to the Philippines on June 25-26.
As officially announced by Nike on Friday night, the NBA legend will take part in a "Mamba Mentality Tour" next weekend.
The tour will start with a major event called the "Mamba Mentality Night" at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on the night of June 25 starting at 4 p.m.
The said event will pay tribute to Bryant's colorful 20-year career highlighted by five championships all with the Lakers and surpassing Michael Jordan as third all-time in career points.
However, the main attraction of the weekend tour is the "Kobe Academy" the day after, where Bryant himself will train selected ballers who will pass the qualifying pre-camp on June 22-24.
