SAN JUAN, MM--La Salle won their sixth straight game in the FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup after clobbering Lyceum, 87-78, at the FilOil Flying V Centre on Thursday.
The Green Archers went on a 14-0 run midway through the first quarter to blow the game wide open and never looked back despite a strong finish by the Pirates.
Jeron Teng tallied 20 points, one rebounds, three assists, and two steals, while Ben Mbala added 15 points, 11 rebounds, one assist, three blocks, and one steal for La Salle, which secured the top seed in Group B entering the quarterfinals next week.
Harry Nzeusseu bucked a sluggish first half to finish with 21 points along side 17 rebounds, and two assists for Lyceum, which ended their campaign with a dismal 1-6 record.
The Green Archers can complete a sweep of the eliminations on Sunday against the Letran Knights.
