ASTANA--FIBA decided to postpone the remainder of the scheduled FIBA U18 3x3 Championship matches on Saturday night at the Astana Open House.
In an official statement, FIBA said that the last eight games scheduled for Saturday, including both of Batang Gilas' remaining games in the preliminaries, will not push through due to heavy rains.
The said matches will be played starting at 11:30 a.m. (Philippine Time) on Sunday.
Currently 0-2 in the standings and needing to win both their remaining games to stay alive in the hunt for a quarterfinal spot, the Batang Gilas team consisting of Josh Sinclair, John Clemente, Theo Flores, and Kyle Tan was supposed to take on Hungary and Spain on Saturday night.
Both games will now be played at 11:50 a.m. and 1:40 p.m. (Philippine Time) respectively on Sunday.
