SAN JUAN, MM--San Beda got the better of Ateneo as they rekindled their 1970's rivalry in the FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup at the FilOil Flying V Centre on Sunday.
Already assured of the second seed in Group B, the Red Lions ended their elimination round campaign on a high note by limiting the Blue Eagles to only 39 percent shooting the entire game.
Donald Tankoua had a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebound along with an assist for San Beda, which will battle the loser of the NU-Arellano game later Sunday.
Thirdy Ravena's own double-double of 22 markers and ten boards went for naught as Ateneo's final seeding in the quarterfinals on Tuesday will depend on another match to be played later Sunday between Adamson and UE.
