QUEZON CITY--Blu-Malaysia fumbled in their PBA D-League debut as they fell prey to Tanduay, 94-71, in their Foundation Cup meeting at the JCSGO Gym on Monday.

The Rhum Masters raced to a double-digit lead early on and never gave the Dragons a chance to recover, eventually swelling the lead to 36 before settling for the 23-point winning margin.

Val Acuña led five Tanduay players in double figures with 14 points as all but one player scored for the team.

Kuek Tian Yuan had a game-high 23 markers for Blu-Malaysia, which is using the tournament as a buildup for the upcoming ABL season.

The Dragons actually play back-to-back games to start their campaign as they take on the Cafe France-CEU Bakers next on Tuesday at the said venue at 4 p.m., right after the Mindanao-Racal match at 2 p.m.
