PASIG--Louie Vigil will join Tanduay as they take on AMA in the opening day of the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena on Thursday.
Vigil and Gelo Alolino will suit up for the Rhum Masters for their match-up against the Titans in the main game of the tournament-opening doubleheader at 4 p.m.
Vigil became a talk of the town recently as a new UAAP rule setting the age ceiling at 24 from 25 could prompt him to forgo his final year at UST.
Meanwhile, Coach Lawrence Chongson expressed optimism that Tanduay's acquisition of Vigil and Alolino will help the team go beyond the semifinals.
"After making the semis and failing to advance further in the previous conference, I'm pretty sure that it's just logical for us to aspire to hurdle that phase this time around," said Chongson.
