MANILA--The Philippine national basketball team will send in arguably their tallest roster yet for the FIBA OQT starting this Tuesday.

All the players Coach Tab Baldwin inserted to his final lineup are 5-feet-11 or taller with three players, namely Japeth Aguilar, Junemar Fajardo, and Andray Blatche, at least 6-feet-9.

"I'm excited about that thought," Aguilar, the lone representative from the PBA's crowd darlings, Ginebra, told a couple of sports scribes about being part of what would be Gilas' "triple towers".

Gilas actually came to close to going for a quadruple tower only that 7-foot Greg Slaughter suffered an injury that forced him to beg off from the national team.

Still, Aguilar, who showcased his efficiency by making all his shots in a friendly against Iran last month, is expected to be of good help in the interior to both Blatche and Fajardo.
