MANILA--Ginebra coach Tim Cone denied an online report that the team is seeking a trade with Mahindra for veteran KG Canaleta.
In a tweet on Friday night, the PBA's winningest gaffer said, "Lots of rumors about Ginebra trades--all unfounded."
A report by Spin.PH's Snow Badua earlier Friday said that Ginebra is willing to send Nico Salva and a future draft pick to Mahindra for Canaleta.
He, however, admitted that the Gin Kings management pitched an offer for the 6-foot-6 swingman prior to the start of the Governors' Cup only for the Enforcers to shut it down.
"KG discussion was two months ago. Nothing there now," the tweet continued.
Cone then reiterated, "Team now just focused on winning." Ginebra takes on Meralco on Saturday night at 5 p.m. at the Quezon Convention Center in Lucena.
