MANILA--Milwaukee's tall point guard Michael Carter-Williams will headline the 2016 NBA 3X tournament on Aug. 19-21 at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall in Pasay.
“I’m excited to visit the Philippines and experience Filipino fans’ passion for basketball during the NBA 3X,” said the 2014 Rookie of the Year, who will be the special guest of the 3X3 basketball tournament pitting 200 hoop trios from all over the country.
“We are proud to stage the sixth edition of NBA 3X in the Philippines, which continues to provide fans with a platform to interact with some of the league’s marquee talents,” said NBA Philippines Managing Director Carlo Singson.
There will be four age groups for males (U-13, U-16, U-18, and open) and two for females (U-16 and open) plus a special celebrity edition on the final day.
