SAN JUAN
CITY— Only quicker this time around.
Just a day
after its cardiac five-set win, F2 Logistics once again pounced on RC Cola-Army,
fashioning out a convincing 25-16, 25-12, 25-15 victory to stay unbeaten in the Philippine
SuperLiga All-Filipino Conference Elimination Phase 2 at the FilOil
Flying V Center Sunday night.
The Cargo
Movers leaned once again on its no-nonsense defense and the sterling
performance of Mika Reyes to deny the veteran Lady Troopers for their eighth win
in as many games in the mid-season conference.
Reyes, the
PSL Ambassadress, led the way with 12 points, nine coming from attacks, while
team captain Cha Cruz chipped in with 10 for the Ramil De Jesus-mentored squad,
which denied 11 RC attacks en route to victory. Aby Maraño had eight.
The team
also got ample support from rookies Ara Galang , Kim Fajardo, and Kim Dy,
scoring seven points each. Fajardo also had 24 excellent sets.
AVC Asian Club Championship and FIVB Women’s Club World
Championship-bound Jovelyn Gonzaga led the way with nine points and Rachel Anne
Daquis cashed in seven for RC Cola, which now lost consecutive games after a
sterling 6-0 win-loss start.
The Cargo Movers next face defending champions Petron
Tri-Activ, while RC Cola tackles the Foton Toplanders on Thursday.
