SAN JUAN, MM–Emilio Aguinaldo College finally got over the hurdle of close game letdowns.
The Generals relied on a huge second half to purloin the victory away from the San Sebastian College Stags, 73-67, and score just their second win of NCAA Season 92 at the FilOil Flying V Center, Friday afternoon.
SSC-R predominated the pace of the first 20 minutes of the game, leading by eight, 38-30, going to the break.
EAC then took the driver's seat in the third quarter after outscoring the Recto-based squad, 23-13, putting them ahead by two going to the final canto, 53-51. They stood composed till the final buzzer to snap their five-game losing streak.
The win positioned them up to 2-5 in the team standings.
Jorem Morado laid out laudable numbers with 18 points and four boards. Hamadou Laminou was once again a dominant force with 18 points and 16 rebounds.
The Stags continue their debacle as they dropped to solo ninth place with a 1-6 record.
Regille Ilagan struggled with 11 points in just 22 percent shooting. Michael Calisaan was the lone bright spot for SSC-R with 15 points and nine rebounds.
