LAS VEGAS--Brock Lesnar succeeded in his return to MMA after beating Mark Hunt in the co-main event of UFC 200 at the T Mobile Arena on Sunday (Philippine Time).

Lesnar, who last fought in the octagon on Dec. 31, 2011 (Philippine Time) at UFC 144, banked on his ground game to defeat the eighth-ranked Hunt.

The former UFC heavyweight champ quickly forced the grappling game in the first round, getting three takedowns.

Hunt appeared to have weathered the storm in the second round, but Lesnar took him down in the final round and again displayed his grappling power.

The judges scored identical 29-27 cards for Lesnar, who improved to 6-3.

Lesnar, however, will quickly reenter WWE's ring following the UFC victory.

Also signed with the pro wrestling promotion, Lesnar is set to face Randy Orton at SummerSlam next month.
