QUEZON CITY--It seems like Mahindra is on a mission.

The Enforcers, the only remaining active PBA club yet to make the playoffs following the Blackwater Elite's quarterfinal stint in the Philippine Cup, soared to a surprise 2-0 start of the Governors' Cup after beating the GlobalPort Batang Pier, 108-98, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday night.

Mahindra pulled away for good after a huge 12-0 run late in the fourth quarter as the team is now in an early yet good position to make the playoffs for the first time in history.

Dominic Sutton led GlobalPort, which opted to sit out Terrence Romeo, with 34 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists, and three steals.
