MANILA--It will be a mixture of veterans and youth as the Philippine Football Federation revealed its 20-woman squad for the 9th AFF Women's Championship in Myanmar next week.
Only six holdovers from the 2015 edition of the tournament are in the line-up for this year's edition for coach Leticia Bautista, with La Salle's Inna Palacios, FEU's Alessa Dolino and Sikat's Natasha Alquiros being the notables of this lineup as Ateneo did not have any players to the line-up.
UAAP 78 MVP Molly Manalansan of UP and Rookie of the Year Sara Castañeda also made it into the lineup which included eight from the collegiate ranks and eleven overseas booters led by forward Heather Cooke, with Alquiros being the lone UAAP alumna in the squad.
The Filipinas will kick off their campaign in Group A against defending champions Thailand in Mandalay five days later, against two-time titlists Vietnam on July 28 and against Singapore on the 30th.
