PASAY—EGS won its fourth straight NBA 3X men's open title after downing Ako Two Team in a hard-fought final, 13-8, at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall on Sunday.
Mark Doligon and Ian Garrido carried the fight for the quartet that also composed of the Acidre Brothers in the championship game of the 3-on-3 tournament organized by NBA Philippines.
"Masaya, kasi na-e-exercise ka na, nag-e-enjoy ka pa," said Rocky, the older of the Acidre duo, who acts as the team's captain.
On the other hand, NU-A, led by Perlas Pilipinas player Afril Bernardino, ruled the women's open division after downing Admirals in their own battle for all the marbles.
Milwaukee Bucks star Michael Carter-Williams, the Minnesota Timberwolves Dancers, and Los Angeles Clippers mascot Chuck the Condor graced the vent to provide entertainment to the fans.
