RIO DE JANEIRO--Kodo Nakano found Italian foe Matteo Marconcini too tough to handle as the late Team Pilipinas addition was shown the door just 79 seconds into their Olympic judo clash on Tuesday.

Nakano, who joined the Philippine contingent at the eleventh hour as a replacement for an injured Iranian judoka, actually went on the offensive just as the men's 81-kilogram match started only that the heftier Marconcini averted the takedown.

Marconcini quickly turned the tides and eventually converted an ippon against Nakano.
