MANILA--BJ Penn's MMA return is now set!
UFC announced on Monday that the featherweight sensation will finally make his much-anticipated comeback to the octagon on Oct. 15 at UFC Fight Night Philippines 2 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay against another featherweight toughie in Richard Lamas.
Booked for a comeback at UFC 199 but was taken off the said fight card due to excessive IV infusion, Penn, who last fought in 2014, takes on Lamas, currently ranked fourth among the featherweight contenders, in the main event of the US-based promotion's second house show in the country, officially confirming a report by SB Nation's Ariel Helwani.
The full fight card of UFC Fight Night Philippines 2 will be unfurled at a later date.
