QUEZON CITY--Analyn Almazan and Ewon Arayi took over for the Light Team as they beat the Dark Team, 43-35, in the Women's PBA All-Star Game at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday night.
Played as a traditional 5-on-5 game, which is a far cry from the Women's PBA's 3X3 setting, Almazan and Arayi, who have been with the national team for a long time now, showed their prowess in the full-court match by helping the white-clad ladies open a double-digit spread in the second half.
Almazan had 14 points, seven rebounds, one assist, and one block, while Arayi, who spearheaded the full-court Pinay Ballers League, added 13 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals for the Light Team in the game played in two halves of 12 minutes each.
Macelie Abaca tallied ten points, four rebounds, three assists, and one steal to lead the Dark Team.
