QUEZON CITY--Mahindra's blistering PBA Governors' Cup run came to a screeching halt as Phoenix dealt the erstwhile surprise co-leader a 94-100 defeat at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Friday night.

The Fuel Masters completed a comeback from 19 point down to give the Enforcers their first loss of the conference after a franchise-best 4-0 start.

Mahindra races to a 42-23 lead in the second quarter, but Phoenix ended the period on a 21-3 run to cut the lead to just one, 45-44.

The Fuel Masters eventually took the lead in the third quarter, although the Enforcers would reclaim it later in the frame and would stretch it to eight in the fourth.

Phoenix then went on a game-turning 8-0 run to take the lead for good and withheld any Mahindra rally in the end.

Eugene Phelps had 23 points, while Cyrus Baguio added 22 for the Fuel Masters, who actually started their own winning run after scoring back-to-back wins after a 0-3 start.

James White fired 24 markers for the Enforcers.
