QUEZON CITY--Jericho Cruz led his quartet to the win in the PBA All-Star Shooting Stars event at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday.
Team Cruz beat the teams of Terrence Romeo and Scottie Thompson as the Rain Or Shine guard drained the final shot of the course, a half-court heave, with 48 seconds left in the time limit.
Cruz was joined by Women's PBA player Regine Dela Merced, Batang PBA player Casey Tibayan, and a fan drawn from the live audience who was only known by the name Willy.
The Shooting Stars side event kick-started the All-Star Sunday festivities that include the Women's PBA All-Star Game and the much anticipated PBA All-Star Game.
