TNC edges LGD in 69-minute thriller, sweeps series with quick Game 2 win

By Ivan Saldajeno

SEATTLE--TNC went off to a good start in the second day of their TI6 stint with a 2-0 sweep of LGD at the Key Arena on Friday (Philippine Time).

The Filipino club scored contrasting wins over their Chinese counterparts as they won their last three games to move up to 5-3 in the standings.

LGD appeared to be heading to the Game 1 win after going for a slow-paced objective gaming which saw TNC losing all of its Tier 1 and Tier 2 towers after 22 minutes and eventually tormenting the top lane four minutes later.

But a 6-0 killing run started TNC's slow yet successful comeback led by Carlo Palad and Marc Fausto, capping it with a 4-for-1 exchange.

The troika of Palad, Fausto, and Sam Hidalgo then joined forces in quickly completing the sweep for TNC, needing less than 30 minutes in the clincher.

TNC battles EG later Friday.
