QUEZON CITY--TNT dominated the final 12 minutes of their PBA Governors' Cup match against Blackwater to take a 109-89 victory at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday.
With the Elite, despite losing JP Erram in the second quarter, sticking close to them and even had the lead at halftime, the KaTropa used a 35-18 fourth quarter blast to take the win, their fifth straight in as many starts.
Ranidel De Ocampo led TNT with 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting, six rebounds, four assists, one block, and one steal.
Mychal Ammons, put up impressive numbers in his debut, tallying 18 points, 18 rebounds, and two blocks, although he showed some signs of first game jitters with a 4-of-11 field goal clip and a 10-of-16 free throw shooting.
Reil Cervantes led Blackwater with 22 points, two rebounds, one assist, and one steal in a game where Eric Dawson was limited to only 13 points although also getting 10 rebounds, five assists, and one steal.
Erram was brought to St. Luke's Medical Center after hurting his knee, but an MCL injury has been suspected.
