SAN JUAN, MM—Finally, a win for St. Benilde after 18 games.

The Blazers banked on the endgame brilliance of reinforcement Clement Leutcheu as it hacked out a come-from-behind 65-61 win over Lyceum in the final elimination schedule of NCAA Season 92 Friday at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

The Senegalese bruiser pumped in 14 of his 18 points in the second half, including eight in the team’s 15-0 finishing blast to come back from a 13-point deficit and avoid being the only team in NCAA history to finish with a winless season.

After Shaq Alanes’ back-to0back triple gave the Pirates a commanding 55-42 lead at the 7:38 mark of the payoff period, the Taft-based squad sprang back to life, thanks to Leutcheu and Yankie Haruna, who scored on a putback to cap off the run and gave them a 57-55 lead.

Franz Pasamante scored a spin drive with 25 seconds left to virtually seal the deal, 64-61.

CSB dominated in the paint, 48-26, while scoring 16 second-chance points, as compared to none for LPU.
