MANILA--China extended Gilas Pilipinas' skid in the FIBA Asia Challenge in Tehran to three after a 75-65 win on Monday at the start of the second round of the said tournament.
China broke away from a gritty Gilas side that stayed in step with the team in the fourth quarter, opening the quarter on a 15-6 run for its largest lead at 15.
Hu Jinqiu led the Chinese side, which moved up to 3-0, with 21 points, seven rebounds, and one assist.
Mac Belo once again shone brightly for Gilas, which further slipped to 0-3, with 16 points, seven rebounds, and two assists.
