MANILA--Gilas Pilipinas' stint in the FIBA Asia Challenge in Tehran ended on a sad note, dropping a 105-119 decision to Jordan on Wednesday.

The Jordanians opened the game on a 21-5 run and never looked back to score their fourth win in the tournament.

However, the match still had some late drama as Mohammad Hussein gave a hard foul on Ed Daquioag, leading to a commotion that was prevented from getting worse by cooler heads.

Hussein was given a unsportsmanlike foul, while teammate Malek Kanaan was meted a disqualifying foul for his part on the melee.

The foul somehow spoiled a fantastic performance from Hussein, who once had a confrontation with former Barako Bull player Michael Miranda in a friendly in 2014.

Hussein had 26 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, one block, and three steals to backstop Darquavis Tucker, who lad Jordan with 37 points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block.

Von Pessumal dropped 30 points on nine triples for Gilas, which bowed out of the competition with a 1-4 record.
