MANILA--San Beda and Arellano look to set up another showdown but this time for all the marbles as they take on separate foes in the Final Four round of the NCAA men's basketball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay on Friday.
The Red Lions, the top-seeded team in the semifinals following their 80-73 conquest of the Chiefs in their first-seed playoff on Tuesday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan City, battle the fourth-seeded Perpetual Help Altas at 2 p.m., while the Chiefs tackle the third-seeded Mapua Cardinals at 4 p.m.
Both San Beda and Arellano hold a twice-to-beat advantage, meaning they need only one win to move to the best-of-three finals.
On the other hand, the juniors basketball Final Four also commences earlier Friday with top-seeded San Beda taking on fourth-seeded Arellano, which imploded late in the eliminations, and second-seeded Malayan battling third-seeded La Salle-Greenhills.
Both the Red Cubs and the Red Robins have a twice-to-beat advantage as well.
