MANILA--After stunning Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke for the One strawweight title, Yoshitaka Naito's first defense of his belt was announced.
His opponent? A Filipino who is also on a rise.
Joshua Pacio's hot streak earned him his first world title shot against Naito in the co-main event of One: State of Warriors on Oct. 7 at the Thuwunna Indoor Stadium in Yangon.
Pacio, who won all of his eight fights by stoppages with a majority coming by submission, will face fellow unbeaten fighter Naito, currently at 11-0, assuring that only one of them will have his perfect streak extended with a belt added to his credentials.
In the headliner, home country hero Aung La N Sang returns to Myanmar's capital city to face Michal Pasternak in a middleweight showdown.
The veteran Aung will face an acid test in front of his compatriots as he battles Pasternak, who wants to bounce back from his first pro defeat to Roger Gracie for the One light heavyweight belt.
